I'm back, and with a brand new layout!

I know I've been missing in action this past year but I'm back and determined to make it stick.

So where have I been you ask?

Basically my employment has been all over the shop and that has eaten up a lot of my free time. I've now got a brand new room set up though and so it's going to be much easier to stay organised and pay more attention to my blog for you lovely people. 

Since my last post, I was lucky enough to work for Benefit cosmetics over the christmas period in-store at Boots. It was a wonderful opportunity and I really enjoyed my time there, however I don't think the brand was right for me. I love to experiment with creative looks and whilst Benefit has some great staple products (hoola bronzer anyone?) they just don't have a very diverse shade range, particularly when it comes to eye and lip colours. I didn't pursue a full time position after the festive period for these reasons, but it did confirm to me that I loved that environment and definitely want to work for a makeup brand again in the future, just one where I know I can suggest a product to suit any need a customer may have.

I've now completely jumped out of the cosmetic world and into the wetherspoons family. Whilst it probably wouldn't have been my first choice 'career' wise, it was offered to me as I was coming to the end of my time at Benefit and so saved the chore of job hunting. I'm having a great time surprisingly and using my earnings to build my make up kit, attend some makeup courses and improve my blog (I am currently writing this on my shiny new macbook pro and will soon be purchasing a new camera, no more crapola photos here!).

So that's about it really. I really am going to try and give my blog the attention it deserves (much more so when I have my new camera) and branch out more into fashion and lifestyle as well as beauty. I hope you'll stick around and feel free to comment any topics you want me to write about.
