Homely comforts

Hands up who hates Primark? This used to be me, but I can tell you I've been converted.

Usually the thought of going to Primark would thoroughly fill me with dread. The idea of being shoved around what can only be described as an enormous floordrobe never exactly seemed appealing.
Turns out that is only the case on Saturdays. Since I am now one of those anti-social shift-worker bees, I stumbled into good old primarni on one of my days off. What a difference. Clothes were neatly folded and even on hangers! There was actually space to walk around the store at a leisurely pace and see what was on offer.

I walked away spending almost £150 (who manages that in Primark!) and thought I'd share just a snapshot of a couple of items I picked up as I'll be doing a clothing hall (including a shirt I picked up for a recent job interview, fingers crossed for me guys) as soon as I have some time to spare in the daylight.

I think everybody loves a candle, and this one is a hidden gem. This is the Blackcurrant & Orchid scent, however I have since picked up the Sweet Pineapple & Ginger one and oh my does it smell yummy! Don't get me wrong, they're not the strongest smelling candles in the world but sometimes you don't want something that overpowering. They provide a lovely gentle background scent and a warm cozy glow and with 28 hours burning time for £3.50 you can't really go wrong.

How cute is this mug, such a squishy little pug, I want to give him a great big hug. I'm going to stop now I promise.

So as I said just a brief little peek at some of my goodies, watch this space to see what other treats I managed to find.
